i'm from maine. where i grew up, kids drank allen's coffee brandy from to go mugs on the bus to school in the morning. i starred in all the church plays, while at the same time writing and performing slasher movies with friends in our backyards. i've been interested in art and science, especially the connection between the two, my entire life. after seeing the challenger spacecraft explode as a child, my major ambition in life was to be an astronaut. i was home schooled through most of elementary school, which taught me the art of independent study, kept me out of several inevitable fights on the playground and instilled in me a strong distaste for pointless busy work. after having lived in other places for a spell, i found myself magnetically drawn back to the state and the people that i came from. this place has a power about it and those that have been here generally give in to its mystique. i am inspired by what is around me and by the people that make this world more interesting. i believe in love and truth and an honor code. i believe in family and friends. i've dedicated a large section of my time on this planet to the design and construction of objects that are appealing to the senses.
